adamaster cf rear spoiler installed

Here are some quick pictures I took sorry for low quality, as they were taken with my G1. I will try to take some proper pictures when I detail the car soon.

A little bit of background I followed the DIY to install the spoiler using 3m moulding tape. The spoiler has pretty decent fitment, the corners are the biggest problem on these due to the way the curve downward on the ends towards the ground. This causes a an arch between the trunk lid and the spoiler itself. So following the 3m DIY I taped it up leaving almost no CF exposed.

I installed it and the corners ended up not staying down the next morning. And so I had to uninstall the spoiler and remove all the adhesive tape. I purchased the beta link adhesive from my local dealer and with the help of another 1 addict member was able to install it much better the second time.

The beta link is extremely sticky and it pretty much held the spoiler down the instant we applied it without much need for weights. I had to squeeze some extra beta link under the two end corners where the arches were to fill in the gaps and now the spoiler is on there solid. Overall I am happy with the spoiler and if you are going to purchase a replica I would highly recommend beta link to do it right the first time.

Looks sharp. So the fitment was pretty good? If adamaster didn't have a full mailbox, I'd send a PM and order one of these.

unfortunately I dont have the box anymore as it is a one time use kit. Heres two pictures I found when searching with google. I bought the betalink from my local bmw dealer Momentum Bmw West and it cost me $15 for the whole kit.

Yes fitment is Decent meaning the corners have small gaps where it arches downward to meet the trunk lid and this causes a small gap where the thin layer of beta link doesnt reach. So what I did was tape the area in front of spoiler and the top of the spoiler to cover the areas where you dont want beta link and then squeeze some out of the tube and it will fill in the gaps.

I can describe the kit for you the metal can is the beta clean which you use to clean off and beta link that gets on your paint that wasnt supposed to and the silver tube is the adhesive which is basically wrapped in soft foil so the tube after a while could bust open if youre not careful, the black spatula is used to scrape off and adhesive that could ooze out. And the sandpaper to sand the underside of the spoiler to ensure a good bond. The plastic nozzle goes with the adhesive tube obviously lol.

Also I did a dry fit with the spoiler and marked the outline with blue painters tape that way it would know where to place the spoiler once it had adhesive applied. This also keeps betalink from getting on other parts of your trunk lid.

looks good but not really liking the gap on the drivers side. fair to assume there's an equal gap on the other side?

What gap are you referring to? If you are referring to how the spoiler sits about 2/3 mm inward of the trunk side edge, that would be my preference.

Would you want to be toweling off your car and have the towel catch on the spoiler when wiping off the jambs? Not me.

ok I looked closer its the gap on the left (drivers side) of the edge of the spoiler in relation to where it sits on the trunk lid. Apparently my spoiler shifted to the right about 2mm which caused it to have more of a gap on the left then the right this happened during the process of getting the spoiler to line up across the back edge of the trunk lid.

Now I have to decide if I want to redo this install for the 3rd time for now I am going to leave it as its too small of a detail to bother me for now plus scrubbing off beta link will be a royal PITA
