Headlights

Decided that my light conversion deserved its own thread since its pretty damn badass and pretty new to the scene.

All work was performed by Boss Cat Designs, here in San Jose.

Specs:
Orion v4's (AE's)
Black out housing
Painted amber marker
Painted eyebrow
Tinted lenses
- stock eyebrow led
- stock orange side marker bulb

The look of the stock headlights ('12 xenon) with the white eyebrow drove me nuts since day1 and I have been waiting and waiting for someone local to do headlight work, and now I couldn't be happier with the end results.

Stock lights off the car.

Lights opened up, and getting prepped.

Surprisingly this was all one piece!

Lights without the corner piece. Looks naked now!

Started the process of paint.

Both sides painted up! Starting to come together nicely!

So i decided to "tint" the lenses to get rid of any shiny/chrome look.
Here is the Orion v4's AE's test fitted.

Lights tested! Looks amazing!!

Some people might notice that orion v4's don't come in the correct size ring for our stock headlamps, but I decided since I wanted to run them so bad that the stock AE's were painted black and then these were place over the original location. Since the back was painted black, it makes it very hard to see that the Orion's are actually smaller in size and are sitting in front of the stock AE rings.
You can fit orion v2's with the proper size, but i wanted the best / britest!!

Now, time to put them back together!

And now slapped back onto the car!

Love em. Looks as good as OSS designs or better. For a cheaper price to I'm guessing.

gotta get rid of the turn signal as DRL
looks great.
does Umnitza not make the V4 with the U shaped outter ring in the correct size either?
looks to me as if luks produkt aka 180 rings would have color matched the eye brow better.
looks great tho....i have V4s now and love them (but the only reason i upgraded from Luks product rings is bc i wanted the Bluerish color and more importatly U shaped outter ring)

That looks fantastic. blacking out the eyebrows looks a thousand times better than stock. Once you code off the amber lights you'll be all set.

Yea, Kirk's 1M OSS lights sold me, but not sure on price difference with mine vs oss.

i actually prefer the look of the amber turn signal, give it an aggressive look and compliments the look as a whole.

Umnitza does not have the ring size for the v4's for our cars yet, but i couldnt help myself and still went with the set up since its so bright and full vs the v2's.

this looks awesome. i'm gonna have my buddy do this to my 2010.

o.p, you should have the corners programmed out so they only work as signals. i did it to mine and it looks super clean

thinking about getting it coded - but its a harsh payment for only that one thing to get done. Car was already coded, but didnt choose to get that done at the time :P

I wish that there was a way to order these headlights where they're plug-n-play and ready to go like the ones that mod bar gain sells. My car is my DD and I don't have a garage to park in even if I took the headlights out to ship. The AEs above do look pretty sick and would be nice to get my hands on some to replace my stock halogens.
