Looks mean

Tell us how it compares to stock brakes when you test it.

The new kit is more precise.. I liked it.
The Stoptech´s pads are an excellent street combination.

I´m testing the Hawk´s pads now... they bite much more, very uncomfortable for street, but for the track they are promising. This weekend in Rio will be interesting.

Here are some dyno plots...
The first was done in third gear and the second in fifth gear.
Observe I did a test with the exhaust´s valve closed on the third gear… 365hp.

Are these dyno numbers with Akra plus Cobb tune or just Akra installed? Are they at the wheel or crank? What other mods you have related to engine output (FMIC etc.)?

When I was in Rio for the Sustainable Development Summit last month I remembered your car lapping the track because we were passing quite close to the area every day and then I was thinking how you can keep a 1M in good condition in that kind of humidity. From the photos I see you already have quite a corrosion around. Do you do anything special to take care of this problem? For now I am in Santiago and the car is enjoying super ideal conditions year round, dry and mild weather, rare rainfalls and no snow or ice, no real cold or extreme heat, just great but you never know I may find myself in Brazil again with 1M following me of course.

yes, these number are with Akra, Cobb and FMIC... I didn´t do any other mod to the engine... I´m thinking about upgrade the intake.. let´s see in the future.

I don´t have any corrosion issue... in the pictures what you saw was only dirt..

An intake will help you here as we have seen when GIAC used our 1M to develope their stage 1, stage 2 and race fuel flashes.

A good intake, sealed from hot engine air with a filter that has a larger surface area you will likely to see 7-10 wheel horse power increase.

We chose to go with the AFE stage 2 sealed intake and in back to back testing we have confirmed the power increase of 7-10 whp. In addition, there was no power difference with the intake completely off of the car so that also prove the AFE intake is very free flowing and not creating a restriction in the intake system.

5th gear at 7,300 RPM?! Wow, that is some serious speed, few dyno shops here in the US would even agree to run a car on a dyno roller at those speeds Great results though, just about at the 400 whp club!

Amazing setup the car is much more balanced, but now, I need better tires...

The car was very hard to stop, it was sliding too much. The ABS wasn´t helping only doing everything worse.

The Stoptech Trophy Sports are doing their job! Which pads are you using first? It would be interesting to get your feedback on both the Hawk DTC and the PFC01 compounds.

Perhaps you would like to try the new PFC08 endurance pads next or the CL brand of race pads.

I´m using Hawk, they are very good... lap after lap the brakes still working. Zero fade.

They lost their super bite when they are warming and they don´t do noise anymore... after 40 laps the front pads are almost in half life and the rear pads almost in 2/3s. I think the proportion will be two front sets for one rear set.

I didn´t liked how they marked the rotors… very visible scratches… this is the only bad news.

I´m curious to know more about this “endurance” version… send me set of them with the wheels.
