Scratched Head Light
My head light was hit by something on the road. How much to replace the head light cover or can it be buffed out? If any one know, please let me know. Thanks.

You can easily see it and feel it. It is not light but not deep scratch neither. I will try Pastx first and see what happen. Thanks.

What's your deductible? The only way to get it replaced is to buy the entire headlight assembly, and they cost over $1000.

If you can actually feel it, you can expect it to take about 5 days more than forever to do anything with Plastx. You will have to go much more agressive.
If you are truly contemplating getting a new cover, you should probably get some rubbing compound and try that. If it does not work, start with some super fine sandpaper and wet sand it. Something like 4000 or 2000 grit. Keep getting more abrasive until it makes a difference, then work your way back down through the various products until you are back to Plast-X |
