Blaupunkt THA-275 Amplifier

Has anyone upgraded their stock audio systems with this 2-channel amp? It looks a plug'n'play solution for those with no amp, simply plug the stock harness from the back of the radio into the adapter harness for the amp and then back into the head unit. The adapter harness divides and runs wires out into the amp (extension cable available to run to trunk). It will power the front speakers and under seat subs on the same channel but leave the rears alone, much like the HiFi system.

I've searched and and I can't believe that no-one has tried this or at least posted however, the E90 people have done it or gone one better and installed the THA-555 which is 5-channel and amps the rears too as well as allowing separate control of a trunk mounted sub or SWS-8's...this isn't for me though, I just want a simple OE-like upgrade along with HK mids/tweeters.

Can anyone offer any information?

Thanks

looks like we need to add this "wire kit" to the amp.

7607622016001 - Fakra Adaptor
7607622011001 - Extension Harness (5m, also available in 2.5 meters version)

Hey ripper . I'll continue over on Baby BMW in a min.

Yes, we would definitely need those harnesses, I think that's around another £90 (110 Euro approx...I think at today's rate) so call it £250-ish for the whole lot...still cheaper than Alpine which I'm told won't work with iDrive anyhow.

I have the tha-555. Try and search again. There are tons on the whole speaker subject. You will need a wire harness made by Technic.
