New Waterless wash n wax product

Hi all.. this is my first time starting a thread

Any thoughts on that product?

I was at one of their demo today and was told that this is a new product that just came in the AU market, it's from the States they said.

I let them demo-ed it on one of my windscreens, it looks good, and promising too, like maintaining show car finish for 4-6 weeks etc etc..

Not convinced to buy one on the spot yet though, so took the brochure to check out the site.

Anyone tried or know about this product?

Hope to share the info if it's good or warn others if it's not..

I've been using a waterless wash product by Optimum for 6 months now. It works perfectly. Wash your car often so that it never gets too dirty. I would wash it conventionally if it's very dirty to prevent scratches.

I use a waterless product on the missus' family bus and it works a treat. However on the 1er I use meguiars quik detailer to keep it looking good.

I'd be so careful, especially with the darker colours in using these products.

Unless you're getting the imperfections off, using these products can introduce a *lot* of swirls (or worse, deeper scratches) into the paintwork, thereby ruining a beautifully detailed car.

Just a word of caution.

yea i know what you mean, my mate's black car has swirls even with conventional washes, problem with dark colours i guess..

I did a lot of research on this. I settled on, and am very happy with:

Klasse AIO/sg *3 every six months
Duragloss aquawax every month (Absolutely amazing stuff - good for trims, wheels, glass as well).

My second goer would be Optimum. I became cold on Zaino after taking some advice from professional detailers.

earlyMLC, can you expand on your comment about the Zaino products. I'm looking to buy some of the Ziano so I was wondering why you would suggest otherwise.

I have a dark colored car and swirls are very minimal if not next to none. But yes, I agree darker cars you need to be extra careful. Always use two water buckets & grit guard, two washing mittens, and two microfiber drying cloths.

With the rinse-less route, clean only one panel at a time and toss the mitten into the rinsing bucket. I like to dry the panel by laying the entire microfiber cloth and patting it dry... instead of wiping. Reduces scratch and actually dries quicker.

Takes me about 30min to wash the car.

Discussions about Zaino can become very heated. There is a bit of a cult following right now for the product so any Zaino fans my opinion is just mine,..

I was one click away from ordering the Zaino range. To get a good outcome you need 3-5 products and the path to understanding exactly what you need can be a challange in its self. My opinion was swayed by talking to one of my family members in Sweden who has a very successful car detailing business. This opinion was only reinforced by the owner of waxit.com.au.

I didn't want to go down the carnubra wax line. Of the synthetic /acrylic / polymer etc agents the top in use include Klasse, Optimum, Zaino, Optiseal amongst others. Both my advisors swayed me towards Klasse because of ease of use. I can tell you it was so easy to apply - wipe on Klasse All in one, wipe off. Wipe on Klasse Seal glaze, wipe off. Repeat SG after 24 hours up to 3 coats. In the toughest winter environments Klasse is reported to last ~ 6 months. Very nice deep slick/mirror shine (darkened my SG colour somewhat = happy).

I also wanted a QD (quick detailer). I settled on Duragloss aquawax although many others are in favour. It costs ~$18 for a whole bottle. You spray on a wet car and dry as you would after normally washing a car. Look is slick and wet and holds for 1 month. You can even apply Carnubra over it if you want.

I advise you to talk to the guys at waxit.com.au - really good advice and happy to take the time to talk to you about the various options.

Just put some zymol Royale on it! I've got some on the TT and it looks fantastic, would like to see it on a black 1er!
