The 1 Series Coupe and Convertible era has officially come to an end.

In case there was still any doubt, this is per an official BMWNA press release:

1 Series: There won’t be a 2014 1 Series Coupe and Convertible in the US market, production of the 1 Series Coupe ends in August 2013 while the 1 Series Convertible will be produced until June 2013.

Those production end dates are earlier than I thought! I guess those who have been taking delivery lately are really on cleanup duty. So long, E82...

I picked mine up Euro Delivery July 12, 2013. The end of a BMW era. Even the delivery guy was impressed that an American bought one with a stick.

The last of the NA BMW I6s. And I've got one.

I ordered my 128i on July 15 and picked up a couple weeks ago. Glad that I was able to pick up one of the last NA BMW I6s as well.

Until they get the EPS to feel like the current Hydraulic steering rack or atleast close to it, I won't be buying a next gen BMW.

Isn't it kinda funny that the 1 series is the last model in the BMW lineup to have the inline 6, but the 1 series M is the first of the M cars to have a turbo engine.

Umm inline 6 turbo, not the naturally aspirated inline 6, which is what i was referring to. There will no longer be NA inline 6's in the BMW lineup going forward.

Actually, the coupe ended in September - the last 135 shown on the VIN decoder was VY60899 dated 9/26

End of an era - I think the only BMW left with hydraulic steering is the X1x28 and x35

I bought a 135is because I felt it was the last of breed heading for extinction. Ordered on June 20, with Performance Center Delivery on August 29. Down the road, I may be in the market for an M4 or whatever the replacement for the 1M may be.

I'm sure there are deals to be had - couple dealers in ATL have some nice discounts.

Based on your current troubles with the 335, you might want to see if there are any 135 out there for you as well

You could get her a vert, and you get the coupe in MT - it worked for us

I really love the 1, one of the best looking current BMWs, great proportions. Sad to see it end.

Genuinely sad about this. Goodbye , dear NA i6, farewell, hydraulic steering.

Kind of pissed that I'm not in the financial position right now to have ordered one of the last ones, but looking on the bright side, BMW used to make some wonderful cars, all of which are available on the used market.
