Where will your car be parked during this Hurricane?

Just wondering if anyone is going to chance the hurricane and leave their car parked outside..

I plan to leave mine at work in the parking garage and have my gf pick me up (no garage at my place)..

The garage at my house....out in Clarksburg we should not get the full brunt of the storm so I'm not too worried.

Just went outside to check....So Far...So good. Went for a brief joy ride...saw 1 tree down and a stop light hanging by just it's wire - I think Irene spared Arlington.

PS - traction control was off : )

On the driveway in the rain. I just went outside and checked - everything ok this morning. Thought about leaving the car at a Metro Parking garage, but I wouldn't have slept thru the night.

+1...I stored mine at the office since before the quake in case a rainstorm hit when we left on vacation. Our house is surrounded by old trees that lose their limbs when the wind picks up. During the last snowstorm we had a large trunk fall in front of our driveway knocking out our power line and blocking our exit until it was chainsawed into movable pieces.

Thanks to Irene we have not been able to get back home, but on the plus side we are on an extended vacation in what's now the sunny caribbean after meeting Irene here last Monday.

Good luck to all who are now dealing with Irene and the widespread power outages.
