Spotted Greg in Downtown LA Yesterday. I was waiting for the pedestrian light on the corner of 8th and Francisco when he turned left out of Francisco on to 8th. Car looks awesome Greg, Mineral Grey is perfect, and the PE sounds amazing.

Yeah, turning the car off will automatically activate P. Even if the lever is in S/M position, it will physically flop back to the right and an audible click (like when pressing the P button) will occur. It's cool to watch sometimes.

Anyway, I wonder at what speed our cars will have a safety mechanism to not allow P to trigger even when the button is pressed. I'd imagine hitting that button at 40mph will create something disastrous.

Was that before or after he pulled out of the "DVD store"?

Ha! Can't believe someone spotted me. I guess it's pretty easy to spot and hear that bad boy. The license plate is a dead give away, too.

I was just trying to get away from that crazy bum in the middle of the street as the light was green!!! That's funny.

I'll have you know, one of the great benefits of the internet is now my packages come discreetly in the mail now. No more going in disguise and trench coat to "the book store."

The EGS will allow park when the speed is at 2mph or less. E38/E39's and up till the E90's will allow 1mph. Hitting the P button going down the highway will do absolutely nothing.

Yeah it sounds and looks great! I've seen a few other 1's on that same block, one other one actually parks in the lot on Francisco there by Smart and Final.
License plate was the giveaway for sure.
And that's actually the first time I see that bum there, there's another younger guy that's pretty hilarious and actually a cool guy sometimes. Apart from that, there's a guy that's camped out right near that lot there, he's got a whole tv and generator setup going.

I forgot to add to that last sentence "if it triggers." My point with my post was that "I'd rather not try it despite being aware that BMW is not that stupid to place a safety mechanism."

So that is what the inside of the box is SUPPOSED to look like when it arrives. Mine was a pile of parts underneath a lot of shredded cardboard. Who did you order from?

I got some MPSS put on my is last week. Massive difference from the very worn run-flats.

I can't wait to see a multitude of pictures from every angle after the installation / settling of everyone's perf suspension. I need to see more!

Ooh, exciting. Seems like EVERYBODY is now ordering the PS. And Max, congrats on your PSS! They're sooo much nicer.

3002 tii - can't wait to hear your impressions and how that combo of dinan springs is with the PS kit.

Downeaster (won't use your REAL name!) - you get the full BMW kit + yellow performance springs or did you go with a different set of springs?

Seems like everyone wants to be like me and Rick (aka CAVU).

Blazing trails across the country with a mean, wicked exhaust sound,

Greg and Isabelle

PS (i'm heavily medicated in case you're wondering)

Have you seen the various pics of mine and Rick's after the install? I can dig them up if need be. Should be 10mm, which is about 0.4 of an inch. Subtle, but adds a lil extra hint of meanness and aggression and doesn't look lowered/dropped like other setups. Classy, yet mean.

Boys, the unthinkable happened.

I hit a pothole trying to avoid another pot hole and cut the side walls on my brand new MPSS front and rear passenger side. Not one but two tires. I'm pissed. Good thing, I was 10 blocks from the house. Walked home, got my snow tires, brought them back and swapped out the destroyed MPSS's. No amount of fix a flat glue was going to patch these sidewall cuts.

I can only imagine the pain I would be enduring if I wasn't able to walk home and fetch my snow tires.

I am now rethinking the runflats. I might just put them back on.

Man, that SUCKS! Any chance you bought the road hazard insurance thing for them? If so, they may just give you new ones.

I gotta think though if you had runflats on there, it'd be even WORSE and would have destroyed your rims, too. Make sure you get them spun and checked to make sure they aren't bent subtly, too. I feel your pain.

I'm lucky that I picked up a warranty plan for my tires when I got my lease. For an extra $500 over the length of lease, anything that happens to the tires gets replaced.

Thats a no brainer, plus I have a "free" excuse to give me tires a little extra wear and tear.

Man, they quoted me like $2000 for tire AND wheel insurance. Since I planned to swap them out for PSS, definitely wasn't worth it in my case. For $2k though, that's nuts - you'd have to destroy at least 2 wheels and 2 tires over 3 years to break even.

Roads around where I live arent terrible (no major potholes or anything), but over three years anything can happen, and $500 is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
