LCD protector screen anyone?

Hey, has anyone put a LCD screen protector on their Navigation screen to prevent scratches??

A look on eBay wasn't fruitful. Anyone know the exact dimension of our navigation screen? 8.8" or 10.2"?

Hmm, it may even only be 6.2"

TIA.

I haven't thought of applying one since I don't see any reason for it to be touched and therefore scratched. Maybe if it were touch screen? I suppose that could be why they're hard to find. I'm pretty sure it's 8.8" though.

Thanks Convert.

It's just me being anal about it. I just find it so much easier to clean the dust on screen with the protector on. Too often I see other people's car navigation screen totally scratched from careless cleaning. And it's always nice to peel it off when the time comes to sell the car and the screen is in perfect condition.

There's a store on eBay Screenpatronus selling screen protectors for almost everything, for most BMW models but not 1 series. I have sent them a query. I'll post up answer in case anyone is interested.

Haha, yes I can understand how you feel! I think using one of those static dust cloths might be the best way to keep it clean? Considering dust should be the only thing accumulating.

I assume you have a good fine brush like the rest of us for the dash etc. Same brush would do ok for the screen.

Compressed air gun is also great for interior cleaning. I can't do without it.
