E82 128i Supersprint Section 2 Tuned Resonator

I've got the BMW PE but the rest of the exhaust system is all stock. Wondered what if anything the E82 128i Supersprint Section 2 Tuned Resonator does for me...other than lighten my wallet.

Thoughts / experience?

Ive been wondering the same from my understanding should be a bit more volume and some rasp

Just eliminates rasp, not worth the cost in my opinion.

Wait are you referring to a new resonator or the resonator delete?

hmm, I don't think you'll get anything out of that tuned SS resonator bc their resonator delete pipe provides increase in sound, without any added drone or rasp (so what's the point of a resonator right?). I have stock headers and secondary cats + Supersprint Section 2 resonator delete + BMW PE. It's great (and the SS pieces are just so beautifully crafted, it was worth every penny). It'll be loud at first but quiets down after a week. Cold starts and tunnel blasting are just too much fun

With that being said, what are you looking to get out of the tuned resonator piece? Performance? Sound?

Well, the Performance exhaust on the E90/E92 doesn't come with a resonator either, so I think that's mostly a function of the catalyst being in place.

I currently have headers, SS mids and BMW PE - there is definitely some rasp.

I actually have the BMW PE as well. I actually went yesterday to my shop and got a resonator and secondary cat delete. Car sounds pretty good and tough and burbles a lot!

No I do not have any drone because I still have my M Perfomance muffler installed. I will post a video of the car by tonight !

I think it would be a waste of money. IMO, the PE cat-back sounds just about perfect when you replace the secondary cats with some vibrant resonators. much cheaper route too.
