I have to drive the car very gingerly to avoid it. This fiasco has also made me realize the previous owner rolled the fenders already (NOW I understand why it wasn't a CPO!). Even with the fender roll, I'm still rubbing

I wish there was something else I can do, because they look flippin' fantastic, like a Hot Wheels car!

rear
8.5 x 18 offset 37
245 35 18
If you really want them to fit you can add negative camber, cut the fenders(you can't see the cut) or go square set up with 225.

Anyone running 8.5x18 with et of 40 or lower? I'm running 8.5x18 et38 with 225/40/18 Potenza RE11 and it rubs on overpass bump and highway bump, so I was wondering what my front camber should be.

Pictures will be really helpful. Please let me know what degree of front camber should I use. Currently running stock suspension but might consider KW V2 and dinan plates to get more negative camber up front.

No, that's my front setup. My rear setup is 9.5x18 et62 with 265/35/18 and its fine. I have very slight rubbing issue up front.

18x9.5 et50 245/35/18 (stock run-flats) + 3mm spacer

Update(11/18/13):

I decided to go more aggressive with the spacing. Now running 5mm in rear and 12mm in front. The rear is at the max it can go without rubbing on non rolled/pulled fenders. The front is also at the max it can go without rubbing. The tire does poke out a little, I might go with 10mm to be more flush in the future.

Going to special order rims but need to know how much work I'm in for first. They are...
18x9 +35 (a disk) 215/40 (is this going to be too stretched?)if I run a 225 will it rub?
18x10 +43(o disk)245/35
Going to run either broadway static, kwv3's, or st coils(haven't decided yet). I plan on rolling the fenders, but how much more work would be needed to get them to fit? And I'm I going to have to run gobs of -camber? I know someone else has run a similar setup but haven't gotten any feed back from the yet. Thanks in advance. Oh '09 135

Wheel recs for stock setup?

I have a 128i stock setup and am looking to ditch the RFTs.

Looking for suggestions on any of the following:
- Tire size as close to flush w/o any rubbing or adjustments to stock
- Staggered vs Square
- Tire recs? live in the east bay, some rain but no snow, lots of freeway driving
- Looking at Enkei & Breyton, any opinions on quality?

Thanks!

rubbing with 18x8.5 +35 riva mx7

got new set of wheels and tires put on Riva 18x8.5 + 35 all around
Front tires are 215/40/18
Rears are 245/35/18

So I did not pick these size and offsets the guy 1010tires.com did .

they totally rub on the inside fender wells on all 4 wheels especially if I have 1 or 2 people in the car.

I am kinda surprised as I thought the 135I's came with similar sized wheels and tires stock.

The guy at 1010 said I need to lower the car and it will increase the camber thus cut out the rubbing .... I find this pretty hard to believe as im pretty sure the fronts rub directly at the very top of the fender wells on full compression .

Any idea what I can do ?

thanks tyler

Lowering will not help. Send them back. Et45 is closer to what you need if you want no rubbing and no special work to have them fit without rub.

Sparco Tarmac 17" + Toyo R888

Wheels: Sparco Tarmac 17x8.0 ET45.
Tires: Toyo R888 (R-compound). 235/40/17 Front & 245/40/17 rear.

No fender mods.
Camber = 3.0 degree front, 1.9 degree rear.
Good clearance on fenders and the strut tube.

Notes: These rims are hubcentric, so no hub rings are needed. The bolt apertures in these wheels are small so they were supplied with smaller sized "tuner bolts".

Thanks to Tirerack for awesome service.

You have camber plates or pin pulled out? I have the spring springs and wheels are et40 will I be safe with a 235 tire?

Very simple here. 100% stock 135i M-package with stock wheels (261M), stock camber and stock alignment:

- Front: 225/40R18 Yokohama AD08R
- Rear: 255/35R18 Yokohama AD08R

No problems at all. Dreamed tires.

Hi! New to the forum! just picked up my 1er a few weeks ago, and am looking to throw on some adapters + my volk se37a's

F: 18x8.5'' +45mm
R: 18x9.5'' +45mm
5x114

Any thoughts on what size adapters to get? I was thinking 15mm.

In regards to tires, what size should I go to avoid rubbing? Would this setup even be possible?

Thanks in advance, and pictures to follow
