VSRF Exhaust Upgrade, Do I need a tune?
My 2012 135i recently blew the stock charge pipe so I am replacing it with a VSRF one. In addition, I also bought their 3-inch cat back exhaust. I live in PA and run 93 octane too. Do you think I would need a tune? VSRF claims a reduction in 30% of back pressure. I dont think the charge pipe will change much but please let me know. Thanks!

You will not need a tune for the exhaust. If you do the vrsf downpipe you will. The charge pipe is basically just a metal version so it won’t break again so no need for a tune for that. Just enjoy the new sound

Can confirm-
Charge pipe is essentially stock replacement- math doesn't really change, no tuning needed Cat back exhaust is (essentially) a sound only mod- math doesn't really change, no tuning needed Should you decide to do something like down pipes to reduce back pressure & massively increase exhaust flow, along with the associated benefits to boost..., well......, then yeah, the math is changing and your best benefits come from the proper tuning. Fortunately, most popular tuning resources like MHD or JB4 are perfectly capable of handling those changes as well as being able to provide detailed logs allowing you to monitor your engines status.
