Any interest in a drive this summer?

Anyone interested in doing a drive this summer around the 4th of July? Maybe start in Chatanooga, drive up to Tellico Plains, head into the mountains via Cherohalla skyway...up to Tail of the Dragon and end up where? Any suggestions from drivers in this area?

North Georia has some great runs all the way up to the dragon!

That is really great Rick. I would love to fly over and join up with you guys. But that is just a wish.

Ohh yea!!! I am already thinking of where we should "tour" this year. I am thinking Southern France with some Swiss Alpine Pass roads thrown in. I would not mind spending a day or two at Francesca's Post Hotel in Stelvio(Italy) again.

I will need to do some "research" this Spring.

Hey man I think anything in the BMW family or euro would be cool. NO VTECH SHIT!

Honestly doesn't matter to me what marque as long as they can keep up! Have another 135 local (north ga) that would be down and my brother who has owned quite a few BMW and is big in the mini community would be down.

Should definitely make this happen.

I'd offer that TOTD be the "destination" and there are a ton of routes to take from the south. Chattanooga would be a good place to meet, or wherever suits most folks. I'm about 45 min north of atlanta and I can tell you the drive from here which is due north is twisties and mountain towns the whole way (2.5 hours worth) and I drive these routes alot. They are excellent.

I'm open to where ever is convenient for most people coming. Where in AL are you coming from?

You expect a day meet or a weekend? Staying at Fontana Village is nice, you can run up hellbender to the Dragon and there is also Cherohala and Moonshiners in close proximity.

If I go, I'd be coming from Decatur area. But that may be a bit out of the way for the mid/north AL guys. I would only be able to do weekends also

Just found out I'll be out on business for 1.5 months, right over the timeframe I was hoping to drive the Tail of the Dragon, anyone interested in driving it in August? Maybe Labor Day weekend?
