Einszett Rubber Care stick
I just tried the Einszett 914806 'Gummi Pflege Stift' Rubber Care Stick for the first time. Wow! Great results. Makes the weather stripping and other rubber seals look and feel brand new. Apply, let dry 15 minutes, then check out the results.

Hmm, sounds good... Maybe I'll give it a try.
One thing: Since the door windows seal against the weatherstripping, do the windows get stained with the rubber care stuff? Not a deal breaker, but I was just wondering...

So far so good, and I have tinted windows. I would let it sit 15-20 minutes to dry before closing doors.

I have one myself and I've used it a couple times but I'm not that impressed. Maybe the next time I'll see better result.
If you don't want any residue, after you apply and let it dry, wipe it off. I didn't wipe off but the residue isn't really that noticeable |

On my E36, I was using Vinylex and though it worked well, it always left some oily residue on the glass where it contacts the weatherstripping... Even after wiping off the excess... And then it would get smeared across the glass when you raised and lowered the window.

I've been doing some research into what to use on my door seals to eliminate the wind noise I hear sometimes at highway speeds. I've found that using silicon based products is a no no and that is why BMW stopped offering the gummi pflege and now offer Carbaflo. Any body have input on this?

According to Auto Geek (link) it has no silicone and is safe for rubber. Quote:

I didn't know that -- I still have some gummi pflege in little packets from BMW with the Roundel and a BMW part number. Must be NLA.

Have you tried this stuff yet? I put it on all my seals recently (door, hood, trunk), they seriously look and feel brand new even after some time has gone by. I also used it on the rubber surrounding the windshield.
