Breyton GTS-R - playing it safe with a little risk...

So, after months of offset calculations and running through possible tire choices, I finally ordered my new summer wheels / suspension combo. I'm gonna go with:
-Eibach pro kit springs
-Breyton GTS-R in plain Hyper Silver, in the following sizes:
Front: 7,5x18 ET35
Rear : 8,5x18 ET38

A well known combo, not taking any chances on colors neither.
Why breytons?
1-I want to keep on using the RFT in OEM sizes. I know some will call me crazy but I have to drive around to clients all the time and the RFT technology assures me I will always get there without delays.
2-They're light - don't need to elaborate why that's a good thing
3-CSL style might be overdone, but I think the style suits our 1 perfectly...

However, I decided to use the new offsets, which are front and rear 10mm wider than the regular "1-offsets". I did this because it seems like the standard GTS-R are still a bit too "tucked in", looking at several members' pictures.
In the front, this shouldn't be a prob. I see many members using 15mm spacers up front on the OEM wheels: Breyton 7,5x18 ET35 would be similar to running a 14mm spacer on the OEM wheels.
At the rear, I might have minor issues, because an ET38 is again similar to running a 14mm spacer on the OEM. I saw 1 member using a 12mm without issues, but as all experienced members know, every mm counts .
So, I expect to have minor rub in the rear, which I want to remove by adding 1degree of camber extra. This should add sufficient clearance, I think... (if not, I'll have to roll the arches a bit).

Expected delivery is 2 weeks... I'll keep you all updated!

Cheers,
Erik

Where you ordering them from? Will they look more concave with more agressive offsets?

Ordering from my local tire supplier (Vulco belgium).
Apparently, the concavity should be similar to the ET45/48 versions... We'll see soon...

Well, Vulco does not sell online.

You can check out www.felgenoutlet.de .
A german site, and there they list all the possible offsets... price is similar to what I will pay...

Good luck!

Here's a pic of my car with a standard offset GTS-R on the front (Tire Rack does not list the offset) and OEM tire. Suspension is Eibach/Koni FSD. Not sure I would have gone with lower offset wheels but I will be curious to see your pics.

This does not look like the standard offset... When looking at other members' pics, the front is really tucked in...
Might be the angle of the picture, it's a bit strange to look at it that way. Do you have other pics? Or do you still have this wheel, so you can look at the ET stamp...?

BAD NEWS !!!

The guys at Breyton confirmed GTS-R only exist in ET45/48...
The ET35/38 is a "mistake" from the German website I found them on. In fact, there are referring to using 10mm breyton spacers...

Don't know what I'll do now: use the 10mm (or 5mm rear) spacers from breyton to get these offsets or just look to a whole new set of wheels...
(btw, spacers are illegal in Belgium so I'm basically screwed...)

45/48 is right, I found my Tire Rack invoices. I sold the wheels a while back and this is the only other pic I took.

Have you looked at the Alufelgen CSL wheel in 18x8 and 18x9? They ship to Europe.

Is that with a 225/40 tire on it?
Damn, from that angle it does not look too bad, not really tucked in at all...

I have looked into that option (or VMR even), but with the shipping etc they cost as much as OZ ultraleggeras but they are way heavier ...

No that's a Yokohama S-Drive in 215/40 OEM size. These tires are a bit more square shouldered than the standard runflats.
