People need to lighten up a bit, this is a discussion board, so we should be able to discuss what we want, even if that's some pointless academic discussion like 325i vs 330i. But in the end, the passion shown on this forum is great. Lots of enthusiasts, with enthusiastic views |

If you want to run up against the Lexus IS350 , The Infiniti G35, the Audi A4 3.2 and the Acura TL the BMW 330I is the absolute BMW of choice.
The extra horses are absolutely necessary to keep pace with these cars --and with good driving skills can put you on top in most match up conditions. If street "cred" is not important--then 325i is a legitimate choice. Just be careful of the IS 350's and G35's out there...and the 330i's too. |

God if I wanted cred I'd get an STi.....
Cred in Canada is passing all those idiots in a snowstorm in my sissy 325xi. Horsepower is nothing when there isn't any traction.

Well, just a little bit more $, 325 can go to 330, just a little more, 330 can go to 540, and just a little bit more, 540 can go to m3, and a little bit more, m3 can go to m5, and just a little more, m5 can go to 997, and just a little bit more, 997 can go to turbo GT, and just a little more, turbo GT can go to limbo. it's just a little bit more to next level, but how much a little bit more from 325 to ferrari?

I for one appreciate this thread because I too have wondered which to get.
I have driven both. In the power department, the 330 has better acceleration from a standstill, however once up to speed the 325 and 330 are very close in enjoyment. What's left is the zenons, upgraded stereo (which I think is WAY BETTER in the 330), homelink, wheels and probably a few other things we could all survive without. Interior is exactly the same on both. One interesting note - the top speed of a 325 sport is higher than a non-sport 330. Personally, I plan to spring for the 330. Like someone said before, better to go ahead and bite the bullet and not have regrets later. |
