Error code - lock malfunction?
I've had several times when the locks seem to go on and off as I open the doors, all I hear is click click click, in rapid succession for about a second -- likely 5-6 times.
It's happened 5-8 times since I've owned the car and I've asked at the dealership about it a couple of times, but they say everything looks good. I recently read the codes off my car and came up with this one, is it linked? Error ACK clamp 15 off before request Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Short circuit or signal interruption I've got CA for reference. |

To expand on Chesterfan's comment; many of us have discovered that the rapid on-off chattering is caused by having one's hand on the "lock" serrations on top of the handle while opening the door. Receiving both "lock" and "unlock" command signals, the CA understandably gets confused. I find the same thing happens when washing the car with the fob in my pocket as water sprayed over the handle will set off a similar reaction. It's disconcerting, but perfectly normal.
