^ no offense, but those just don't look like they belong on a 1er.
Are those universal ones or something? looks like they were designed for another car

Thoughts...?

By far the cheapest CF front lip I've come across ($314 shipped). Seems to look a lot like the lip mod bargains sells, which is the more subtle look I prefer. I also like to think of Schmiedmann as one of the more reputable vendors. I think I might jump on this one.

Sorry for the delay, but here are some pictures of the CF front lip I purchased from Schmiedmann.

Impressions: lip looks great! It's always hard to take good quality pics of CF parts in my opinion especially doing it from an iPhone.
Construction quality looks pretty good as well... As stated in my previous post, this lip looks very similar to the icarbon lip and the one that **********s is selling. Even some of the pictures on Schmiedmann's site look like the **********s one.

This lip costed me about $334 shipped to my door here in the US. Be prepared for FedEx, to charge an additional 15-17 in customs tax. But IMO you can't beat this price/quality/value. Considering this lip was shipped from Sweden I believe, it only took 5 days to get here! I ordered my Blackline tail lights a year back and had a great experience with this vendor during that transaction as well.

Lip does not come with mounting instructions or any pre drilled holes... I have yet to mount it, I've purchased heavy duty 3M outdoor mounting tape (20lbs rated I believe) to do the job. Same kind of double sided tape I used for my CF spoiler about 2 years ago and I've had zero issues with it. I plan on posting more pics when I get it mounted!

Thanks for the pics, but mounted pics are the most important haha.

Are you saying you are mounting it with JUST tape and not drilling holes? Not sure how sturdy that will be on such a low point on the car. Keep us updated.

20lb rating might be fine for a spoiler but front lip is going to need something stronger given the downforce it'll see. I would definitely consider drilling holes.

Drill and secure that thing with bolts! 20lbs tape is not enough, might even come off on the first drive.

That lip looks GREAT. This is exactly what I have been looking for at the right price. I love the iCarbon design.

However, I am a bit scared of drilling into this perfect piece. I wish they came pre-drilled, but what can you do.

I'm waiting for an update as to how we'll properly mount these. As the consensus is that it should be bolted. I believe this is the right way to do it as well.

Can't wait for installed photos!
