I wouldn't worry about it. I bet they changed it as people couldn't find Logic 7 on the option list so they called it the same as it is everywhere else. According to those who have taken delivery, the Premium sound says Logic 7 for both nav and non-nav.

I am real happy with the logic 7 system in the 1er, which is surprising, because I was expecting to be underwhelmed.

In the Canadian Brochure it seems it is listing the following:

Standard Stereo = Hi-Fi 10 speaker (incl 2 subwoofers)
Upgraded Stereo = Logic 7 Sound System (13 Speakers)


Those are the only two options. THere is no 6 nor 8 speaker option. Does anyone know where the speakers are situated for the Standard HiFi 10 speaker system offered in the Canadian market 135i?

We've discussed this a bit on the Canadian forum, there is no indication that there really is 13 speakers in our Premium Audio (old catalog), they are supposed to be Metal Cones for the speakers though, the better Amp, and the HU with Logic7. I got the premium stereo on my Vert and it does in fact say "Logic 7" in the menu option and I don't have IDRIVE. Just fyi, it was in the "off" position when I first found it...turned it on and the sound quality is unreal.


As an incidental note I can say that the only way you can really test how good a unit really is, is to drop the top and see how it sounds. I can assure anyone considering the unit that with a little fiddling on the equalizer it sounds awesome with the top down. Strong base and very clear. Some had complained about the IPOD performance, but it is great to.
