128i Seat Belt Tensioner and Tail Light Recall Fixed

My local dealer just did the seat belt tensioner recall 10V-254. They installed a 72-11-4-876-789 UPPER BELT FRONT LEFT and a 72-11-4-876-789 UPPER BELT FRONT RIGHT under SI B72 02 10.

They also replaced the tail light seals with kit 63-21-7-285-537 under SI B63 03 10. Since both of my tail lights were working they just replaced the seals instead of the complete tail lights.

Mine is getting done today, I'm also getting the sound dampening material replaced they say that's a recall also and I got my brake light rubbers replaced a couple weeks ago, the same time they replaced my third brake light. They gave me a 2011 323I to drive for the day and I'm glad I bought the 128I and not a 3 series I only hit my head three times now getting in.

I am also very happy with the 128i. My wife's 328xi is way too big for me.

Does anyone know why the recall was expanded? In June and July when I had my 135i in for software reprogramming and then the tail light seal replacement, the dealer said my car was not part of the seat belt tensioner recall. I received a recall letter from BMW yesterday and now the dealer says the car is part of the recall.

The same thing happened to me I went to get my Tail light gaskets installed and they said there were no other recalls be then a couple days later I got the call that the seat belts were recalled so I had to bring it back in. The offical notice from BMW was only issues a week or so go in Canada.

I got the recal also for out 09 135 Vert. I am sure when I bring it in, they will say we do not have the parts in stock. According to the letter, it says mine would not need a new Replacement part, but the SA says they have to look nd verify.
