I know it's way too soon to ask but are you willing to shed anymore information on the quad setup? How much, how loud? Will the diffuser be available in CF? Sorry, just getting really excited here

Fireflyer239 - I'll PM you the details. I used a sports action camera. The type that would be used when watch a race on TV and see the view from the car.

BMW86 - There are no plans for a CF bumber, it will be an oem type abs piece..at least initially. The quad setup will positively be a louder exhaust. It won't be a "Whisper" series, although it will share the build and fitment quality that has already been noted by existing customers.

ridin135 - will let you know, got another customer that I just found has an auto as well. Thanks.

BMW125i - Just the current axleback for the 128.

I haven't forgotten about getting another clip posted in the 5000 rpm plus range. I always have good intentions to get these things done right away but then the reality of all the other work in front of me gets in the way. I'll get it done though.

PS - I just cleared some room in my PM box. It was full. I got a notice a couple folks tried to PM.

R.

Excited to see the quads!! I wish I would have known that you guys were thinking about making a quad setup, I probably would have waited! Maybe you can have a trade-up program for the quads . Can't wait to see the outcome!

Not quite...it is like a catback(meaning after the second sets of cats...there is some confusion with the wording due to the x35i's having two sets of cats...at least from what Maddad tells us) with mid-pipes w/resonators and downpipes (Rich does not sell the DP's.....yet)...

No DP with this setup, Mid pipe and axelback, keeping our warranty intact this way. 2nd cats replaced with resonators instead here.

Just viewed the new clip, and the exhaust sounds perfect! When are these going to start shipping?

Also, Do you have any plans on making downpipes for the 135/335?

When I get back from vacation end of next week I should have my new car camera I can mount on the rear of the car and just tool around the street.

do you work for Daddysscp? if so will this system fit a convertible? I'm in southern NH and would be glad to be the gineau pig if need be

BlacknRedi - this is probably one of the most confusing subjects for this car. But hear goes. A true catback replaces everything after the "last" set of cats on a car. If you take a MadDad axleback section and the new midpipe we actually "replace" the last cats and keep on going until we mate up with the factory downpipes, so I'd classify this as a "Downpipeback" because it replaces everything after the factory downpipes. The only true "catback" I know of for this car is BMW's and it is rightfully labled because it replaces everything after the last set of cats...meaning it replaces the big resonator and the factory axleback sections. On this car, the only way to make a true catback is to literally cut the factory midpipe right after the cats...and that is exactly what you have to due with BMWs catback. It's not as simple as installing an axleback or even a "downpipe" back that require no cutting. I hope that all makes sense. What makes it more confusing is that some vendors advertise Axleback exhausts as catbacks. They have their reasons for this...but make no mistakes, a catback exhaust replaces everything after the last set of cats just like the BMW Performance Catback.

trfortin69 - I don't have confirmation on convertible fitment. I am in Leominster, MA. If you want to meet up some day we can take some measurements and do an eyeball compare. If it's not obvious we'll just have to try and mount one up. Float me a PM. I'm tied up the next couple of weekends but sometime mid February on...

Other updates. I will have what should be the production ready Midpipe in my hands end of this week. It will have the updates to some of the clearances and a minor update to the resonators to dial in the sound a bit further. I'll be doing a final fit/test this coming weekend and if all goes as planned we should start shipping last week of January so we are pretty close to being on track with our origonal estimate. There are a few of you guys with pre-orders on full systems and we have your exhausts set aside.

Rich

PM'd you but for others that might want that option as well, the answer yes. We don't have it enabled on our website because we don't like to charge people until the product is ready to ship or within a couple of days at most and if we enabled paypal you would be charged right away as you all know. So if you want to paypal and reserve a pipe right now just PM me your zip code and I will PM back a delivered price. When I receive payment I'll create an online account for you so you can view the status of your invoice(it will be paid and pending shipping) and shipping. I will assume you all know there will still be a little bit of a lead time before it ships.

Rich
