Backorder on Smoked Side markers!

Just got off the phone with bavarian exclusive and they seem to be backordered! JLevi also told me the same thing!

Anyone know of a place where I could get these? I need them by the 19th!

Keep in mind these side markers will not be the same quality as your stock ones. They won't have the rubberized seal, and they do feel cheaper. Mine came in with no caulking on one of the connectors, so it was loose and flimsy. Also, they will flicker like they're having a seizure when you first start your car, and after about 5 seconds the flickering goes away. Got them from JLeviSW.

I will say, however, they look much better than stock... you just compromise with quality.

yeah, tinting the stock ones would probably be the best option

Yeah, didn't mean to paint you in that... I bought mine from JLeviSW. I might actually order from you since your product appears to resemble OEM quality the best.

Tom, I didn't see them specifically for the 1-, I guess the E9x would fit just as well?

Can you comment on the flickering and rubber insulation. Does your experience the former, come with the latter, and any reported condensation after car wash/rain? Thx

Yes the 1-series can use the e9x sidemarkers as they are the same.

The flickering is there with the LED sidemarkers since it is part of BMW's bulb check system on your car and the LED using very little power to activate, causing them to light up only for a few seconds. It does not come with rubber insulation, but our project 135i have had no problems with condensation.

Thx David. Just looking out there to what is available, it seems the range is huge, as is the price differential. We consumers like choice, but for something petty as the side marker, who needs so many! LOL

Just tough to distinguish what makes one product better than the other to justify a 2x price differential

Interesting, it even seems that e92 lighting is using our images.

Interesting indeed. Yet they indicated their product has rubber gaskets/seals and yours doesn't, so I would venture a guess that in theory the two offerings are different.

it looks like not all offer connectors. much easier to install if they have connectors on the end instead of just stripped wires.
