Tire mounting on Long Island
Who are you using to mount tires on nicer wheels in the Nassau/Suffolk area? The place I used to like in Glen Cove is gone.
No hack jobs!!

I've always used STS on Sunrise highway in bellmore. Mostly because it's right by the train station, but they do a great job pretty quickly for a good price.

Als hubcabs in mineola - they work on very high end wheels and have done fantastic work aswell in regards to fixing bends, curb rash, and fresh paint on wheels

Are you willing to Oceanside?
Jc automotive is fantastic it's where I go for the 1st and it's where my uncle goes for his 9 second chevy. A lot of the local drag racers use the shop and it's not uncommon to see some awesome cars outside |

i was at all weather this morning having a tire repaired on my sin wagon. really great shop. I asked about mounting tires on nice wheels. obviously, he said no problem. he said he has 1 or 2 guys that he uses for the nicer wheels. Im more concerned about the actual machines. none of them had plastic pads on the part that grips the wheel. i wonder if they slip them on, or use shop rags, or have another machine in the back.
the shop fits my criteria for mounting/dismounting tires on nice wheels: 1) Dedicated tire shop 2) Busy 3) Good prices 4) I can hang out in the garage and hawk the guy who is doing the work. This way I can talk to him. I also tip before & after. i dont like waiting rooms!!!!

^+1 on All Weather in Huntington.
I've taken my stock wheels, and my freshly powdercoated wheels there. Asked them to be very careful, got a couple of the best guys on my job, and they took their time and had zero issues. $100 mounted and balanced. |
