Jason,

If there is someone on the west coast that you would trust with the install I would be open to being a tester. I am a long-time BMWCCA Golden Gate Chapter instructor and have a few track events coming up.

Sounds like you may be set with local guys but if you want feedback from the left coast tracks let me know.

Sorry, that pic is very definitely higher than stock. You really need to recheck against a stock car.

I assure you, it is not as easy as it looks.

I am curious how you are going to make an argument for your theory based on a photo with no scale...

Yep. The picture is deceptive. The first tester car rode at exactly the same ride height as it did on the stock perches as it did on the Vorshlag perches.

Jason we can test a set for you guys ... being your dealer we are always glad to help ... I have 4 track days coming up so we can test them out ...

In case 4thM3 wants to test them on his 1M I would be glad to assist with the installation.

Here is the set of Vorshlag CP we installed on the M3 with JRZ suspension ... Definitely a top notch product !

I don't think there is another dealer out on the West coast with more Vorshlag BMW camber plate history and on top of that have sold and installed more camber plates than we have.

If you are willing to make the drive to Santa Barbara, we will be more than happy to help Vorshlag out if they are still looking for testers.

I'm sure I could orchestrate a trip to Santa Barbara if Vorshlag is looking for a tester. Just let me know. I could come down the week of July 23rd.

Sorry guys. For projects like this we use testers that are local to us so we can do the install. Part of what we do is make sure the fit is perfect and it sometimes takes some measuring and fabrication to finish the first couple installs until we have production parts ready.

I had forgotten to ask that , but I don't recall needing a step ladder to get into the car. ;-).

Thick or thin by the way?

Mark, we went thick (0.25") rather than the thinner (0.1") to get the exact right ride height. We could have gone with the thinner plate and the car would have been lower by 0.15" than stock.

the tires in this thread look... ummm. familiar...

Here is the anticipated, fully detailed thread on the camber plate install..

MIN camber is -1.3 and MAX is -.2.8 on my car with the plates.
Ride height is essentially unchanged.

No kidding! These are looking to be a great, nicely designed set of pieces. Can't wait to get them on my car!

Yeah, that price doesn't scare me. It looks like a quality piece and I will be grabbing a set. I should have no problem running them on my v3's but still need to confirm.

V3 should have similar if not the exact shaft profile as the OEM strut to be able to use the stock upper mounts. Vorshlag can chime in to confirm.

I put my car through the Hebron Road in Carrollton torture test on the way home Saturday. Several sets of uneven train tracks and of course a ton of uneven pavement as most of the main six lane roads in Dallas have. There are no unusual noises or issues at all.

The spools for the V3 are a little bit shorter than the spools we use for the OEM strut by about 3mm. Not a big difference, but we try to get the best fit possible.
