Exclamation DIY- START/STOP Button Trim Swap

DIY- START/STOP Button Trim Swap YouTube Video DIY©

So I have had several emails/pm's regarding the difficulty of the Start button trim swap. I did a quick DIY video to show that it is a 1 maybe 2 out 5 difficulty and pretty much anyone can do this. I hope this helps.

Here is the original For Sale thread: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=684447

I don't know, seems to hard. Can you provide a structured diagram as well as metric forces needed on each tab during removal?

I'd be willing to do a small run of the Matte Gray(or whatever color) but only a few have emailed me any serious interest. A lot of people ordering the orange though.

The paint won't last long in the heat and constant touching of starting and stopping the car. There is a very good chance I will offer a 'LIMITED EDITION' non M version for the 1 series guys. These are solid color so they won't fade or rub off.

Would look like this but raised letters. I mentioned it in another thread. What color might you be interested in?

Alpine White III !!!!

Oh, and I'd REALLY prefer the "sunken" letters - if at all possible. I know from your other thread that the lettering doesn't appear as clear but I still liked it better

sheesh...people are getting really picky. i really just prefer a stock look, less lettering (like what's pictured above) and sunken letters.

I only have maybe 25 of all 3 versions of the ring left(raised gloss/matte and indented). Current batch of orders shipped yesterday. Expect them within 3-4 days. Glad everyone so far is digging the rings IRL! Thanks again guys for supporting this project!

Pretty cool to think that 11% of all US 1M's are rocking these already!

Mid week bump. Thanks for all the orders. Next batch goes out this Monday. This could be the last of these things until I order more to be made....

Good job on the rings, it would look great with this start-stop switch.

Never seen the blue back-lit starter before, interesting. Might look better with a different color other than orange though....

I modified the switch with a blue led, I have a red and white one in the works. I also have a brighter stock orange one that you can see in daylight.

Nice detail.

Soft orange would blend in nicely.

Not disturbing during drives in the dark ? Can you please post a picture of the dash lighting (including the start/stop button) in the dark ? Thanks in advance.

Here are some night time pics of the brighter orange. One is with the flash and you can still see it. Also the steering wheel covers the switch when you drive. They are phone pics sorry.
