Question about powdercoating/painting wheels?

Question here:

If i paint/powdercoat my wheels, will they forever be ruined as in, if i decide i want to go back to regular color and finish, is that possible?

Should be able to go back - but you'll have to have the wheels media blasted to remove the powder coating. The toughness of the coating comes from the properties of the 'paint powder' and the baking process. It's still just paint - although really GOOD paint. ; -)

Here's a little writeup on removing powder coating: http://www.pfonline.com/articles/cli...00cl_pwd1.html

if painted properly the original finish will be completely stripped before applying the new finish.

So no, going back to the original finish will be all but impossible without sending them back to the manufacturer.
