suggest an exhaust setup please

I'm looking to get as close as possible on the M4 to the sound that my E92 m3 was making with the meisterschaft gt SUS racing and connecting pipes. Here's a short sample, this was actually my car, maybe the quality is not the best, but you get the idea.

I hate the raspy, metallic and cheap sound of the stock and most of the aftermarket exhausts on the m4.
I realize the difference in the engines, and i know it will not match but want to come as close a possible. I also dont feel like dropping 7k and give up my first born, so try to stay reasonable with suggestions please.
Much appreciated.

I really like the sound of the Dinan out of all the ones I've heard on the internet. It's also less expensive than some. I wish I could hear more in person.

Nothing will get you close to the sound of an E9x V8 M3. F8x are inline 6 turbocharged engines with its own unique sound. Deep, throaty V8 rumblely is just not in the soundtrack. It's more like shrieking, ripping fabric with a hard edge sound. Perhaps you can get fake V8 M6 active sound coded in?

Closest options you'll get to that are:

- RPI + Catless DPs
- AWE Resonated/Non Resonated with or without downpipes
- Meisterschaft GT2 w/Downpipes

sound is so subjective. You have to hear set ups in person to really judge which you like IMO. If you can't do that then basically its a craps shot, def can't go off vids.

The AWE non res w/ DPs is louder than the res w/ DP's right

Is it just that there is no drone with the res w/ DP's and deeper?

Yeah, AWE/TAG/Others don't recommend using non-res with DPs. It's way too loud and raw for most people + some drone. Yes, no drone if you paired the res version with DPs.

If you don't have DPs, then go non-res.

Our Resonated SwitchPath system will take some of the harsh edges off of running catless downpipes. Non-Resonated SwitchPath with catless DP's will be very aggressive and raw. The resonators will cut down on drone.

I think for a total package exhaust you cannot go wrong with MPE or Akra. Titanium <3

I would throw magnaflow in there as well. AWE still sounds a bit raspy to me with Downpipes (but maybe I need to hear it in person).

Here's a short clip of our shop car with AWE Resonated & ER Downpipes.

What do you think of the sound?

Akrapovic, Remus and M-Performance are very popular exhausts in both sound and build quality. Can't go wrong with either one.

We have the Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system with Evolution Racewerkz on our shop M4, and have been very pleased with sound/performance.

I think AWE is the most raspy (in this car, that means "farty" to me) from all the clips I've seen.

Rasp in a V8 isn't necessarily a bad thing as the bassier tone allows for some harshness. With the 6 at the forefront the fart rasp really needs to be kept in check as much as possible.

No offense to anyone meant these things are totally subjective and that's just my opinion.
