The wait is over

On Saturday we picked up our new 135i M Sport Coupe

Took it for long run down through the Southern Highlands, through Kangaroo Valley, Berry and back to Sydney via the Gong and LLawrence Hargreaves Drive.

Thoughts on the 135. Well compared to the 130i we traded in it is a much more composed car. Back end is much better balanced. Given that it was the cars first run we did not hit the up of end of the rev range often or for long but even the little bit of its potential we explored was enough to know that engine is something special.

And damn I though the 130 was bad for break dust but after we came down out of the mountains behind Berry... the wheels on this thing were dark grey

I have not had the chance to take any decent photos so for the moment a couple of really crappy iPhone shots of a very dirty Space Grey 135i coupe will have to do.

Thanks so do we. In fact we love it

One thing we learnt already is that is is one of those colours that changes a lot dependent on teh light. In full sun light it looks a lot lighter than it does in those pics,

We took a bit of a punt because it was a new colour on the 1er when we ordered and as a result we had only seen it on larger BMers.

The alternatives were silver or Saphire Black but having to keep a SB 130i clean was enough to drop that option from the list.

Thanks.

I know what you mean. The 130i used to makes us smile when we drove it ... the 135i has the ability to make you grin like a raving lunatic

Now we just to remind ourselves to only grin like one and not to drive like one. :headbang:

Those pics look like they've had alot of colour enhancement done to them, but they sure do make the 135i look absolutely stunning in that colour...:eyebulge: love it, great photography

Very nice - and a perfect way to break the car in!

I'd love to see your car beside mine so we can compared Sparkling Graphite with Space Grey. Check my post about the forthcoming Southern Highlands drive - hope you can make it!
