Minor Repairs

Bris Pack

The inevitable has happened and have found stone chips on my bonnet whilst washing the car

Nothing to serious....chip hasn't gone through to the primer paint..... but I know you will all agree, any stone chip or scratch tugs at the heart strings.

Have read all the treads on DIY stone chip repairs but since its on the bonnet, I'm not keen to DIY. Its like giving a mechanic a scalpel to go and do cosmetic surgery.

Have found the following companies (in Brisbane) that do minor repairs and was wondering if anyone has used them before? Would be great to hear of your reference.

The pain wears off after the 6th or so chip - at least in my case it did. I bought the touch up paint kit (paint and sealer) from BMW spares (about $35) and did it myself.

I had to fork $46 for some Sterling Grey for the wife's X5. Seems like each colour cost is different.

Sorry to hear. I've got one chip on the bonnet and it is down to the primer. I'd be interested to hear how your repair goes as I'd like to fix mine.

Cant vouch for the paint repairs, but I had some slight gutter rash repaired on my left front wheel by Stewart from The Touch Up Guys . He has a southside franchise and is based at Calamvale from memory.
Service was excellent, did a good job and the price was more than reasonable compared to some other quotes I had.
