Clear Bra and the 1M

Where have people decided to apply the 3m or equivalent to the 1M? Any troubled areas? On my x5M the rear wheel arches and hood needed it from day one. Similar for the 1M? If I buy a 1M used, can you apply the clear bra over a hood that has some nicks or just roll without?

I did the full precut kit on my car when I bought it: hood, full front bumper, mirrors, rocker panels, and behind the rear tires. I also had some custom pieces done that I wanted to have protected: the A-pillars, the headlights, and the roof done in black vinyl. Just the other day I added some pieces to the rear fender flares to protect from debris thrown from the front tires; there are some threads on here talking about those getting pretty beat up.
Concerning pre existing chips I would say to try and touch them up as best as possible and give the paint proper time to cure before applying any mask.
As another note, I really notice how much less debris you come into contact with when you drive with a little more space between you and whatever is up ahead.
Cheers!

Full bumper, hood and mirrors. And if they offer a kit for rockers do that as well. Those lower panels get scratched easily from debris.

I have bumper, hood front quarters, A pillar, 1/3 roof rear bumper and rear flares. Will be doing the rest of the car as well. PM if you want my contact. He's the VERY best in the biz. He drives a clear wrapped M4.

He was doing this F12 the other day. If you are not local he can send you the 3M wrap cut for your car.

Is there a place to order the full precut kit for the 1M, such as the dealer or will any company applying them know how to source it? Is there a certain film better than the rest?

Does anyone know of a precut option for the rear bumper behind the tires?

Aren't you worried about all that extra weight?

I went with the Xpel product 2 years ago and am very happy with how it has held up. Did full hood, both fenders, and rear fender flares.

3M has been excellent on my X5M. It's over black but I still can't see it after 4 years!

XPel yellowing on my car, most noticeably on rear flares. 5k miles, always garaged, don't use any petroleum based waxes, tire dressing, etc (supposedly a cause of yellowing). Alpine is undoubtably the toughest color for ppf. Have Suntek on my Mineral White X5, curious if that will age more gracefully.

My buddy has white 2013 328 and it was yellow after 6 months and it s a 3m install.
The installer did not want to replace it under warranty because he said it was going to do the same thing....
