Auto night mode?
Is there an auto night mode for i-drive map/all screens? I drove my 135is for the first time while dark outside tonight and I had to manually change it to night mode. I'm my moms 2012 X3 there is an automatic mode. Does one exist in the 1 series? How do I set it up?

Maybe it gets darked when the car's headlights are on? Don't know bc I do not have iDrive.

1 Series iDrive does not have auto night mode... No idea why...

Maybe it depends on the option packages? Drive into a tunnel and the dash and navi auto dim, come back out into daylight and it will return to full bright again. It does it gradually, so you don't notice it right away. Edit: I just realised you said "Night Mode" not dimming. My bad. Mine does not do that, and I have not seen any option to do it yet. Night mode
I set one of my preset buttons to toggle night mode on/off in my 09 135i.

Pretty sure there's only a night mode for the NAV screens, not the rest of it. If there is, I can't find it either! Right toggle in the nav to get the 'options' screen.
