Black listed by Shannon???
I just got off a phone call with Shannon so I can get a quote to renew my insurance.
I gave them my name and birthday and they straight away say they can't help me cause I am not a car enthusiast without asking anything else??? Wtf????? |

They wouldn't insure my mate for the same reason because he isn't in any clubs.
I had to dish out my cams affiliated clubs I was in, kart licence and car forums I visited and then they signed me up.

I will see what the others are giving me first - still a bit annoyed at them!
Don't exactly want to come crawling back to them after the way they treat me the first time! ps. I am 25 so technically I should be ok. |

I got a quote with Shannon's last year. Turned out to be damn expensive for an under 25.

Otherwise I am worried how they obtain updated information about me... Quote:
Lol Allianz does not insure M vehicles??? Hmm maybe I should wait till the end of the month when I turned 26. I thought they didn't insure under 25? or have that policy changed. |

Maybe they wanted to insure me because I told them I was considering thinking about perhaps purchasing the BMW PE. |

I did and the said something along the lines "That is a good question and it depends on many variables" then the guy went on to say "Why don't you try Just Car Insurance instead, do you want their number?"... |

Should have just said:
"Do you have 28 minutes while I read you the modification list or would you just rather save us both the time and give me a quote." If not, ask him if he prefers JB, Procede or Cobb. |

Shannons wouldnt insure me either rey, and ive insured 3 cars with them in my name in the past, and the reason was because it was the risk factor being age and a bmw 135i...
RAC were by far the cheapest all round though for my 135i... But if you can get insurance with shannons, they wont care about mods if you list them, my old V5 type R STi 2 door had a complete driveline swap, built 2.5l brembos, 6speed box etc etc they didnt even care i told them everything had been swapped over.... |

These are Shannons' requirements to even provide a quote online... Couple of things here that might be deal-breakers even over the phone?

look at this from another angle guys. I would pay any insurance premium just to be under 25 again!! so enjoy the high premiums while you can
and then you get married, get a mortgage or two, pay private school fees, await retirement and then you die. |
