Glad it worked out for you, I know we had some alignment issues with your car for some reason. I do what I can and my welding skills with this new TIG welder have gone to another level from the time I made yours. I enjoy doing this.

Yeah, my suspension was just a bit off compared to others for some odd reason.

Always nice to see quality products at a good price.

Thanks! I'm thinking of making all the brackets in this configuration due to variations in exhaust systems (OEM or aftermarket). With one side of the bracket like your photo shows with the flat bar welded to the inside of the L stock. Only doing that on both sides then this way any exhaust configuration has no effect on fitment which I have run into on a few brackets. Going to make a large one like this and post some pics.

Okay, here is the new style Diff bracket that will work with the DCT and 6 speeds. The large and small diff brackets will be made like this going forward. I did not do much of a clean up, just tossed a quick coat of paint on it just so it will not rust after I welded it. This is my large diff bracket sample / template so, do judge the finish very close.

I would like all who has purchased one of these from me to post your review, bad or good. It would help not only other members but allow me to fix any issues anyone has run into.

Thanks

I do not know how stiff your bracket actually is but structurally i think you may still be getting come deflection. Perhaps a cross brace will stiffen it up further.

A cross brace is not going to do much for it especially for what it's intended to stop, wheel hop.. I would like to hear from the members who actually purchased one, not to have anyone critique it.

Sorry OP, I know you may not want to hear this so feel free to let me know and I will delete this comment, but this poster has a point. This design has less structural rigidity than the original design. By placing the flat stock on the pictured plane, you greatly reduce the effective moment of inertia in the critical axis. Don't know if the original design may have been over designed and thus this design change for fitment does not compromise the function, but you never know. I would throw in another piece of flat stock perpendicular to the first with a quick stitch weld just to stiffen her up a little.

First let me say that I'm an engineer by trade so I know what I'm doing. The first bracket was WAY over designed. If you know why a rear differential does wheel hop, you would understand it better. Loading and un-loading is the problem, not axis horizontal movement. Brackets of this type are for a specific purpose, NOT to hold the entire differential is position.

So again, I would like members who purchased my brackets to comment on how things went, not have everyone critique something they have no experience with.

135droptop Honestly i would use that "cross brace" idea to imprint your "brand" on the bracket. Have some flat stock with your logo or name cut out and weld it in. Basically an aesthetic mod, but it would look nice. Just my .02 cents.

That's an idea.. I try to keep as much room in the center as I can so a fluid change is not a big hassle. Not sure what to put there as a name, as I only do this as a service to the forum, not a business. I enjoy TIG welding.

Of course but it just adds that extra touch. Presentation is everything. Wanna attract more buyers, make it pretty without affecting function. Logo Cross brace is perfect.

Looked at it again, structural integrity has been increased in the horizontal plain from the original design and strength for rotational loading and unloading is just as strong. I sell this for half the cost of anything you can find out there so, I try and keep costs down.

The bracket works, simple, cost effective and strong. Any member who wants one, I make to order so, this design is far better than the original.

Now again, I'm looking for input from only the members I have sold my brackets to in order to see if they ran into any issues I have not already address. No lurkers please.

So everyone knows, I will make the old style bracket or the new style, which ever you want.

Went from 245's on 8.5's RFT to 265's on 9.5's Non-RFT in the rear and still solid as a rock and no wheel hop. Traction is 100% improved with the non-RFT's and the bracket is still doing its job!
