I believe if you went much wider in the front you'd rub the fender. I'm worried after a 3mm spacer (ET42) I'll be in fender rub territory.
With a 225/40/18 tire I know 100% it won't rub. (I test fitted a friends wheel and tire)

What are your specs on your wheels and tires?

See previous page. 18x8.5et45 235/40 and rubbing on the front strut. Anxiously awaiting the 3mm spacers from Apex.

Edit: Pilot Sport A/S 3, yup a flippin' all-season rubs.

Edit2: I do mean I'm afraid it will rub the fender over bumps, for most driving it's probably fine, would love to be wrong but maybe I'll try to adjust camber if it's a problem still.

Edit3:You're on aftermarket suspension, I can't read.

You can't tease like that and not post pics! How's the handling on the edge? I would think very twitchy.

I liked the look without the bumper; you could pawn the car off as a high-end dune buggy

I've been looking at some CSL style summer wheels for the 1er. I found some nice ones called Stuttgart ST3. They seem to be the same wheels as Miro 111.

http://www.lkperformance.co.uk/wheel....5&rear=19x9.5

I believe the ones in the pictures are the same. What tire setup would you recommend for 8.5x19 ET35 front, 9.5x19 ET40 rear on stock suspension?
I'm probably going to lower it and/or get some camber plates later on.

EDIT: Actually, they might not be the same ones. Can someone identify the wheels in the pictures? Alufelgen SF-71?

Hey guys, I have a quick question before I place my order. I appreciate the help.

I'm getting VMR 701's 18" hyper-silver wheels and plan on lowering 1.2" front and 1.2" rear (eibach pro kit). I'm looking for a clean look without rolling the fenders or any modifications.

With so many options, offsets, tire sizes, it's tough for me to figure this out on my own. What size wheels/offset would get me a similar set up as this photo while using the stock tires (front) 215/40R18 (rear) 245/35R18

I spoke with a guy from **********s who gave me these specs w/ a 1.2" drop using stock tires

18x8.5 front +45
18x9.5 rear +50

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some help from those running 18x8.5 squared setups.

TIRE SIZES HELP!

I recently purchased a 135i that came with M6 replicas. They look great but the rim lips aren’t flush with the tires. I’m trying to decide on my next set size.

100% I’m going with Michelin PSS.

Currently
Fender Work:
Rolled front fenders
Wheels:
18x8.5 ET38 all round
Tires:
Front 215/40/18 (stock and way too much lip poke)
Rear 245/35/18 (Stock and fits fine)
Suspension:
Stock
Camber:
Stock
Rubbing:
ZERO RUBBING

Option 1 (safe bet)
Front 225/40/18
Rear 245/35/18

Option 2 (slightly more wide in the front)
Front 235/40/18
Rear 245/35/18

Option 3 (makes me nervous to try but I want this to work!)
Front 235/40/18
Rear 255/35/18

Any insight you have is much appreciated! I really don't want any setup that rubs. The offsets are a bit aggressive in the poke department but they look very mean. the rims seem to be just inside the wheel wells on all four. Pics coming when I have some good ones to show.

Happy new year!

The PSS will be a lot wider than stock tires. You may even have trouble fitting the 245/35/18 on the rear ET38 wheels, even though the size spec is the same. Maybe you should post your own thread to ask advice and discuss the specifics.

What's up guys, I'm new to this forum but not to the bmw scene. I'm attempting to do a daily/track set up and I need some suggestion from you guys.

18x8 +42 offset all around
245/40R18 all around
continental extremecontact dws 06 is the tires I want to go with for the moment. Any rubbing issues? Planning on rolling front fenders slightly more, rear are roll aggressive. My current set up is
19x9.5 +45(F) 19x10.5 +50 (R)
225/40R19 275/35R19

Car is also lowered on h&r springs

Hey guys,
I'm looking to run some 18x8.5 ET45 in the front & 18x9.5 ET50 in the rear.
I'll be lowering on some kw v1s.

Is a fender roll all I'll need to fit those offsets/widths?

The roll should be all you need. Just be conservative w/ whatever size rubber you decide to get. You also might need a 5mm spacer up front to clear the strut, but someone else might have to confirm.

Anyone be so kind as to offer any advice on the following ?

Wheels : Zito 935 hyper silver 18"
Car : 2012 120D msport E88 convertible
Suspension : Standard msport Camber : Stock

Looking for a staggered set up with the above alloys, unfortunately the alloys are only available with an ET40 8.5" Front and ET45 9.5" Rear.

plan to run 225/40 front and 235/40 rear tyre.

Don't want to have any arch rolling work or camber adjustments etc carried out on car and deffinattly have no rubbing.

so okay I know a lot off guys run with an et45 rear on the one series but so confused as the majorirty off wheel dealers over here in the uk say the ET45 rear wont work and this is why it is not listed.

Help advice very much appreciated !!!

Further to the above been offered a set off 19" Atomic csl reps but these have a front et off 38 and a rear off et45. Will an et38 fit my e88 without any problems and if so best size tyre to run to prevent having a tyre stretch or having arches rolled etc ?

Thanks

Anyone have an idea as to who makes these? First guess is AG but I don't believe their offsets work for our car at 18. They also look like 19 to me. AG only makes 1M/M3 fitments at with their 19.
