Doesn't fold into quarters for easy storage/carrying, like the BMW one. Not much cheaper, so why bother?

For that price I'd go OEM

I don't have experience with it but I have experience with the BMW version. The BMW version folds in the middle so it will fit in a fairly small case that comes with it so you can store it in the trunk. That one does not seem to fold. That would be a problem if you were out somewhere and needed to use the rear seat.
I don't think I paid more for the BMW version. Mine broke on one of the two latches, however. I was driving in a buffeting wind and that apparently caused it to fail. It still works but is held upright less securely by the one remaining latch. Jim

I vote for OEM. And if $395 is the best you can do, you're not looking hard enough (hint: ebay...lots of Euro sellers!) I got an OEM
"used" from an ebay seller in Germany. Looks perfect and works perfectly. This is not something you're going to have in place every time you drive, so consider that. |

Actually, one of the photos on the site shows that it fits in the trunk, even tho it doesn't fold. But I'm guessing that the free "storage bag" it comes with doesn't offer any protection, so you probably don't want to put anything on top of it while it takes up the entire trunk.

Yeah, if it was the same seller I got mine from, the thing was clearly new, with tags still attached. He obviously has "connections." And even with shipping, it was less than purchasing new here. But they also come up used all the time on this forum.
