What Is Wrong With My Bumper?!

Can someone please explain to me what is off with this bumper? There seems to be a noticeable gap between the bumper and the hood. I had a minor accident last December and because the car was stored away for the Winter I didn't notice this until recently. I've put up a stock photo for comparison. The shop I took the car to claims there isn't anything wrong.

There are rubber stop buffers that can be adjusted. Try adjusting. Yours might be out way too far.

I tried this. Didn't make a difference. I attached two photos of each side of the bumper where the fender meets the bumper. Any additional suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you

It's not the bumper, it's the hood that is off.

Pull out your smartphone or use the shop's computer and GIS until they get tired of looking at 135i front ends. It shouldn't take long for them to relent and find a fix unless they're crooks.

Those match up perfectly, nothing wrong there. I think it is your hood as well, can you push it down more?

Looks like a hood latch that was not installed properly.

Thank you all for your advice. Was the hood latch . Guy took care of it. From other threads I read I thought it was the bumper carrier but the shop guy insisted it wasn't.
