Another how much to pay thread (135)

Sorry to post this kind of question again, but has anyone bought a 135 last couple of months? I tried to buy one today but couldn't get the price that i wanted. It's a 135 coupe, manual, with metalic paint, sunroof, front parking sensor, navigation. It retails for 88k plus. I offered 76, the dealer wants 79, so no deal. The car carries over 8k worth of extra which i don't need. I would rather have a white one with no option, may be just a sunroof, but i will have to order one. What do you think is a good price for the car?
thanks for your input in advance.

Another question, if a car is in "bond", and one dealer can get it, does that mean that the next dealer can sell it too?

$79k seems like a good deal for that spec I would think. Many of us have paid more for lower spec.

Yea 79k sounds like a great deal from the stealership. Don't budge on the sunroof though thats worth 3k on its own. Stick to your options and shop around.

You haven't indicated whether the car is brand new or a demo or whether you are trading.

If you are in a state other than WA I'm sure you can get a good deal as they are battling to move cars in the prestige segment ESPECIALLY as we are close to 30 June and whether or not you qualify for the 30 % to 50% govt tax break for business.

If you are in WA, PM me as I have just bought a new E90 M3 from QLD.

Sounds like a good deal, but let the dealer sweat for a while and see if they get back to you. Make sure they know you're also shopping elsewhere (which I hope you're doing)!

hmm not sure abt QLD... but in NSW what u asking for should be fine! besides if the dealer dont want to move on the price, make him put in extra parts (look at the bmw performance booklet, thats what i did)

I think thats an excellent price, so don't think they are trying to rip you off. Which dealer are you dealing with?

That is definitely a very good price. I bought my 1er before joining this forum. If only I'd known I could've saved some serious cash

Still, no regrets

Go buy it now. I just signed up for 125i convertible with prof NAV, auto comfort access, voice recog, in Cashmir with oyster leather - was last one in Melb and off showroom floor.Paid $79,500. I thought it was too much but I wanted it before 30 June. My first BMW and convertible - have some concerns about soft top but looks really cool. Is tinting windows advisable - was told it comes tinted

If your figures are "on the road" numbers, then it's a good deal. If not, then I think there's more in it for you.

I have listened and signed the paper today. Couldn't get the price any lower unfortunately, but manged to get tint and a freebie. So all up high 70's on the road. If I wanted an auto I could have got a floor stock car from more than one dealer with may be 2-3k more discount. Anyway, I wanted a manual, so less choice. Now just need to wait may be 2 weeks for delivery.

Thanks for all your input.

You'll have to start coming for our meets, 2 weeks is not bad at all. I was waiting since February.

You got a very fair price, definately not ripping you off. I managed 9k off my 135 convertible, and they definately would not budge any further - despite same time last year I paid for a brand new X5 (which i kept as well).

So all in all good deal, you'll love the drive. Enjoy!

yes, if the car is in bond any dealer can quote on and sell the car - first in best dressed!!! I lost out on two cars this very way.
