328/335 SOP's (production schedule) including xi models

I have posted this stuff months ago but a summary may be helpful:

E90
328, 328xi Sept
335, Sept
335xi, March 07

E92
328, June
328xi, Sept
335 June
335ix, late 07

EDIT: Added 335ix

I have one question about your information as it relates to the e90. Typically, two of the 5-series models share engines with the 3-series. The 2007 5-series are already in production and are using the 525i and 530i designations. That would seem to suggest that the 2007 e90's will remain 325i and 330i.

So is BMW going to sell a 528i and a 535i in September then, as well, even though they already came out with the 2007 models and kept them as 525i and 530i?

Maybe the 335/328 Sedans will come to the U.S. later as was hinted to me by BMWNA?

My guess is that the E60 won't get the new engines until next Spring....which is probably the reason they released the '07 models early.

The reason USA Marketing calls the March 2006 5 Series a MY07 is because they changed the tire pressure monitoring system to one that is complient to the new USA regulations that say all new cars must have that type of monitoring by 2009.

So all USA MY07 E60 onward have the new system

BMW has to shift upwards by an entire model year in order to be able to change the tire pressure monitoring system?

I'm not sure I understand the correlation....

Its a US DOT Regulation

So they can tell them that all MY07 up comply with the regulation.

Its only a USA thing, BMW AG still calls them MY06's till September 2006

Right. So that's all the info you want to give us? I don't know if your info is true or not, but I'd be nice if you provided more info than just production months
