Never was a big fan of the dual slat grill, but I love the mesh on the brake/oil cooler air inlets. How'd you make them? More pics?

I'll take more pics in the morning. I ordered a sheet of mesh from custom car grill website. Name of the item was ' Dia_Plastic_XXL_B6'. This is identical to the pattern and size of the mesh in front of the inter cooler.

I had already cut out the whisker from the window gasket(official name for the lower duct openings ). But then i started feeling it looked incomplete. So decided to put the mesh.

I cut a rectangle out of a cardboard box and stuck it inside the gasket. Sketched out the margins using a marker. Then I cut the cardboard along the margin. Used that as template but left .5 inch extra all around and cut the mesh using a dremel. With some twisting and hammering with a mallet, the mesh is stuck between the air duct in behind and the window gasket in the front. Applied some epoxy resin for the peace of mind. But pretty sure it wasn't going anywhere otherwise as well.

I was afraid I'll have to remove the bumper at first. But then as some wise man said, laziness brings out genius.

This was before I put the mesh. I'm still oscillating on the m stripe vinyl on the grill. Without them it looks blacked out. I needed a break in the front. But not very excited with the stripes as well.

I see what you did; good work. I would have thought you'd need to remove th plastic air duct off the back of the bumper to get a good fit. Not sure how difficult it is to remove though...

The side grilles, the ducting needs to come out.
But for the center grille you can sneak it out W/O removing anything else.

And I have to say I really like this mod. I think it completes the car.
