I'm from Philly, so would have to include the occasional cheesesteak or hoagie. But one of my favorite sandwiches is turkey,swiss sheese, lettuce, and a small amount of mayonaise on a croissant.

A REAL cheese steak hoagie from Philly has got to be my favorite (I also grew up in Philly). It really surprise me that how difficult it is to find a true cheese steak even around here let alone anyone who knows the difference between a cheese steak and a cheese steak hoagie (BTW the second has LTO, the first is with onions and cheese wiz).

Second would be a roasted pork sandwich with roasted hot peppers and provolone (the real stuff, not the "deli" varity) from any number of places in the Italian market.

sorry, not a sandwich, but I live in Florida and we are deprived of good eatin. Subway is as good as it gets.

PB and H, but takes some special work to make it truly delicioso. In the morning, make the PB and H on wheat bread. Put it in your typical plastic sandwich bag, then throw it in your backpack. Take a hike, and when you are getting hungry take the sandwich out (hopefully a few bruises) then set on rock in the sun to bake a bit. Take a swim in the river/stream, then pop a cold soda and enjoy!!!
