CURB SCRATCH!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
Yesterday I was coming out of my GF's cousins house parking and the driveway was really small. At first the car went up the curb and since the car was heavy it drifted out. So at the end I got a scratch in my left passenger side wheel. I have the tire/wheel protection and I'm planning to take it to the dealer on monday... As you guys know (people from LA) there's a meet on wednesday do you guys think I could get it done by wednesday? What do they do with that wheel? Does BMW get me a new wheel? or do they just fix it?

I don't think any tire/wheel protection is going to replace a wheel because of a scratch. Good luck with that one.
quietly: (i heard those other socal guys talking about if you came to the meet with a scratch on your wheel they wouldn't think you were cool anymore, and that your BMW sucks) sorry, j/k

Wheel/Tire protection will NOT cover a scratch on the rim cause by a curb since it was your fault..
So you should be taken out back and shot for doing that kind of damage to a BMW

Interesting. What does the Wheel/Tire insurance cover? A dinged rim due to a pothole? A nail in the sidewall? How much did you pay?

dude, post pics. I dont think that a tire/wheel protection covers this sort of thing. There is a thread on how to fix it yourself.

Here's the solution...
Find the biggest pothole you can, and make sure the scratched tire slams into it, denting the rim. Then goto the dealer and get a new one. Yes, I'm being sarcastic... or am I?

The Dealer told me that the tire/wheel protection covers everything such as curb scratches, flat tires, dented rims, and all that. That's the main reason I got it for. Other than that... Yesterday when I called the dealer I told them that I had a Curb scratch on my wheel and I have the tire/wheel protection, they told me to call back on monday and make an appoiment because the saturdays are only for appoiments.

BTW how much do you guys think it'll cost to fix it? It's only a 1 INCH line you can barely tell when you're looking at the wheel but IT really bugs the shit out of me! |

Hey Krn.... can you let me know what the dealer said. .. i got the tire/rim warrenty too. I am under the impression from my Sales person that it does cover scratches if i hit the curb. I got mine on the first day, but i havent borthered dealing with it yet. I thought i'd wait awhile just in case.

Grow up and take responsibility for YOUR actions. Do you realize how stupid you sound for trying to blame the "heaviness" of a car for your own mistake. Then you confirm that you're a brat by stating that the damage YOU caused is barely noticeable. Wow. Grow up. All this discussion over a 1 inch barely noticeable scratch on you wheel.
