I heard people saying that this part is discontinued. Is it true? or is it a part number renew? Last edited by larryzhou; 12-01-2010 at 06:11 PM.. |

Just did the mod on my vert, and now the top won't fold properly. Thanks a lot.

Should be able to buy it at your BMW retailer in your area.
Give them the part number and they should be able to pick out the item from their EPC. http://www.bmw.ca/ca/en/general/deal...r/content.html |

you guys do know that the small shelf under the door arm rest is meant for glasses right?
The door pockets have two spots for deep things..like maps...electronics or whatever, however separating the pockets there is a small shelf with about 1/2 inch lip. I have put all types of sunglasses there and they stay just fine.

The door storage is great for glasses until you open the door quickly and you hear your $300 shades drop to the ground. It just isn't deep enough.

My glasses have a hard case and it's too big to fit in the glasses holder in the door and even though it will sit there, as soon as I hit the brakes hard, it goes flying forward and then rolls under my feet. Not exactly a good thing. I used to keep the case in one of the cupholders in my old car, but it won't fit in my 1er. If the glasses would fit in this overhead compartment by themselves, I would forego using the hard case that I have. Hmm...

I did it!
I bought a 15€ tray for Opel Astra, no need to drill the car or the tray, just removed the metallic ring from the tray holes to allow me to force them a bit. The grey tone of the tray is exactly the same of the one of the car. This is the result: As you can see in the last picture, my Oakley glasses are a bit too much for the tray, but they are safe anyway. |

But, apart of the price, it seems to be less roomy that the one I used. |
