DTM weekend in Munich at the Welt...
Hi Guys, On July 15th and 16th - I went to Munich to see BMW’s new DTM racer for next season. Here are my photos. The DTM event was really cool. What I liked best was how close you could get to all the drivers and cars. It was a wonderful event. Some cool shirts BMW Welt were handing out!  Olympia Park…  BMW Welt…  Olympia Tower…   Olympia Park… inside where the DTM races were held…  The Olympic village for the ’72 games - were the terrorists took its victims.    A memorial for the victims of the ’72 games…  The dual race circuits inside the stadium…            Seen on the side of one of BMW race trucks…  DTM race cars…      As I walked down into the paddock area… this was the first thing I saw! lol This Red Bull Audi brushed the wall with its left side quarter.      Just some of the “extra” wheels on hand for this three car team!    Note how the DTM driver sits way in the middle of the car…   RS5 Safety Car…    Portable gas station…  Only 2 euros per liter!  MB DTM cars…     Leaf blower cooling…      Box cooler…   When you race a MB race car… you also need a MB race truck!  And… a race bus!    MB F1 race car…                   BMW racers…       THE M3 that won last years 24hrs of the ‘Ring…     MINI’s…      MINI racers…             A classic MINI...  And a LONG Mini…  MINI WRC…      Audi DTM cars…   MB’s…   Heat guns switched on cool air… to cool hot brake rotors…   Polishing…   Fan area…  BMW…  E30 M3…    E90 M3 CRT…       Audi Fan Shop…  THE Audi R18 that won the 24h LeMan’s this year!       LOVE all the battle scars of the 24h race!   More of the Audi Fan Shop area…       MB SLS GT3…    SLS street car…     New C Class coupe…      Walking back over the bridge to the Welt… I spotted this little MINI with pedal power…     Back in the BMW Welt…  Leave your mark…  24h Ring racer…                        Andy’s M1…          A sweet looking M3 seen outside by the double cone…       Coming soon…  It’s here! Because race car!
And thats the M3 driving simulator...doesn't move, the windshield is a big screen and it's the coolest vid game ever! Sweet pics as always Dackel.

Ah, so that's what they were doing. I was there in late May/Early Jun and they were building like crazy over in Olympic park. For example, that whole Audi setup on the pond wasn't there at all. Kind of home court advantage for BMW huh?

I forgot to post pics of this M3 GT4 racer they had inside at the Welt. Instead of the usual show of the motorcycle guy zipping around the Welt and up the stairs… BMW had this M3 GT4 race car do BURN OUTS inside the Welt(!) with everyone looking in awe! It was really cool. And this M3 had race slicks on too! Quite a cool sound it made on polished concrete! I attached a pdf sheet on this M3 racer IF anyone is interested in it.
