what was the camera settings and background lighting setup?

That particular pic was shot at 1/50 f4.2 ISO 200.

I used two Alien Bee 800s. One was positioned above the passenger headlight pointing down with a softbox. The other was positioned near the drivers headlight at car level pointing across the grills/FMIC with a 20 degree honeycomb attached to keep light focused and not spill all over the place.

I really wanted to take more, but it was 11PM and it was still like 95F with 209847398% humidity...in a garage. I couldn't even focus in the viewfinder because of the sweat pouring off my head.

As soon as it cools down to something reasonable, I'll get the softboxes out again and play around with something more than just the front of the car. But the front's of BMWs are so much fun to shoot because they are so damn sexy.

thanks for the detail on the pic setup..

And im not super keen on the front end like you, but i do love the rear end of the 135i. Personally Im an ass man. hehe.
