Perth BMW owners : AC now charging $44 for PitStop

Yup that's right....$44 to check your tyres and fluid levels - plus the cost of any oil or coolant if they add any.

Yep, I was in yesterday to get my injectors replaced..... Oh just to know that they didn't have any left so they took my car for a day for nothing and now I have to wait at least a month to get them replaced.

I also pointed at the $44 Pitstop sign to my service advicer and asked her what's this BS.

Whatever happened to "service" and "making the customer feel special".... Oh I forgot, us West Australians ALL work in the resources sector and earn at least $500,000 a year!

I had a look at the new WestCoast BMW dealership today...... BIG, beautiful, quiet .... hope they move a lot of cars because they going to have to! I think I'll still hike it to AC for vehicle maintenance though.... better free coffee...though they'll probably start charging for that soon!!

Typical - Another way to gouge money off their customers.
Does anyone know who the owners of Westcoast BMW are, I hope they aren't the same people who own AC.

I actually only realized we had 2 BMW dealerships in Perth now haha. I might go and pop by to see if they have some injectors for my car.

But yeah, same owner or not - I really hope Westcoast value their customers - treat us half decent and don't rip us off (to badly). It was the s*^#%*^ service from AC that brought me away from a new Cooper S and X1 - hence recent Benz purchase.

Are we really asking that much?

Expensive but sounds about right. My dealer told me the labour charge is $195 per hour. $44 is about 15 minutes.

They are the same owners from what I have been told. It's the location that has me scratching my head.

To be honest I would imagine most enthusiasts like us do our own oil and tyre checks. Only the seriously clueless or seriously cashed up would throw $44 to get someone else to do it.

Just saw an ad for Westcoast BMW in Wangara and came here to see if it'd been discussed. Other than the fact that it's in Woop Woop, I was looking forward to moving away from AC, but it seems as if AC's tentacles are there too.

Dreading ringing them up for service costs next week. Whatever happened to that BMW Service guy in a factory unit south of the river, off North Lake Road somewhere. He used to be a mechanic at AC and I liked him, but I can't find him on Google...

I was, yes. Found the business card in the centre console this morning, but was already booked in at AC :-(

Are they still around? I'll check when I get into the office.

It wasn't very convenient for me to go there as I work in Morley and they are at Bibra Lake that's why I have never used them.

Apologies for dragging this thread up from the dead - saw an advertisement for West Coast BMW today and got all excited.

As has been suggested here, my research shows these guys are owned by the same people as Auto Classic:-

http://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/consum...ler_suburb.asp

In summary, both are owned by Auto Classic Pty Ltd MD2271

Bugger - was hoping for some competition.

Cheers

Paul

My wife backed the X5 into a traytop ute - rear detectors didn't pick up the high tray top, apparently. The cracked rear tail light assembly replacement cost close to $500 and I ordered it from AC and had them deliver it to WC as it's closer to pick up. So, yeah, they must be affiliated.

Dunno how long WC will last though.... never seen any customers in there and the salesmen seem to spend a lot of time playing with their iPhones. Good luck to them but the location is not the best IMHO.

It would be logical to put it on Stirling Hwy.... Then they will sell 320's like hot cakes!
