I find I get the biggest stares from older series BMW owners.

How about "orientated" instead of "oriented"???

I have seen TWO (2) E90s in Montreal, one parked with its lovely owner creaming her legs, and the other at a red light with the owner lighting up a smoke.

I gave both of them the thumbs up and made some dumb complimentary remark. The girl was like,"Thanks, best car ever!!!" and the guy was like "whatever". Both cars were SG, and hers had the Lemon Interior. Yummy!

I used to get a lot of love in my E46 325i when it was shiny and clean (black).

Ever happen to you? How do you feel about it?
It's only happened once that I noticed, currently I'm lucky enough that I can park my car at work in a place I can see it from my office window, but I'm not facing my window; no, I'm not constantly looking over my shoulder to look at it... but shortly after I took re-delivery of the car, I was talking to a couple of people in my office, about the car, in fact, when one of them was looking over my shoulder out the window, he'd noticed three or four guys checking out my car, walking around to the back of it... how did I feel about it? It was kinda cool. We were just, who are those guys, I recognized one who used to work the helpdesk here, the person who spotted thought they were in the qa department. Maybe it has happened more often, but I haven't noticed.

OK..back to topic.

I was waiting for my car from the valet service at Cheesecake Factory in Marina Del Rey, and as the car was pulling up, I heard a couple next to me say...

"oh my god, that is a very nice car. Actually, its just beautiful."

I really wish people would stop interrupting our rants about English and grammar with comments about their dumb CARS. Jeez!

I parked away from most but next to an NSX at a restaurant parking lot here in SoCal.

The owner and his honey were coming back to their car ahead of me and did a conspicuous walk-around of my E90.

As he was letting her in the passenger's door, I was close enough to say "I figured I could trust you not to ding the door."

He said "Abosultely. And that's a really nice car!"

Good compliment, I thought.

Speaking of CMV.

I was at the drive-thru at Arby's and two girls got out of the car from behind me to talk to me. So they obviously weren't trying to talk to me cause "I" looked good .

People seem to check out my car quite often. Usally when I park far away in the parking lot, I have other BMWs park around me. It's pretty cool.

Im guilty of peeking around the new bmw body styles, partly because Im just getting antsy to get mine.

It also depends on the neighborhood, such as when Im in the O.C. my '02 3er seems to be invisible, but when Im heading through southcentral LA ...DAMN, everyones checkin it out!! well, mostly the 'how we gonna jack it' looks.

I go to a university with almost 30k students and I think I'm the only one that has a 2006 330i. I only have seen another student that drives a 2006 325i so he's my only competition

I do get stared everyday I drive my car. And I have seen people stop and check out my car at the parking lot. It's definitely a good feeling to have a hot car

And ladies LOVE it its good to be single right now...

I'm one of the very few old men on this fourm, and my E90 is my first BMW. I freaking love it! It's the most awesome car I've ever had, and I've had my share of nice ones. It won't be my last either. If my business continues to grow as I believe it will, my next will be the new M3, after it's been out a year or two.

Sorry to be one of the stalkers so far. But there's a new Black 330 right around the corner from my office. I always have to slow down to check it out when I go out for lunch.

Parents are too busy worrying that their children might not like them to do any actual parenting.

Bad grammar exists the world over, and I know it is no different in the UK (though your slang and liberties with grammar are far more amusing to me). What really gets me is, as you've pointed out, using phrases incorrectly and even words that don't exist (like irregardless). I'm always disappointed that people take no pride in learning the lanuage they speak. "Could care less" of course, means that one does care, perhaps significantly.. and therefore is is possible for them to care less. The proper phrase, as you have pointed out is "couldn't care less" which implies the complete absence of concern.

Well, my Anglo friend, if you're going to deal with us Americans you will have to get used to STUPIDITY and LAZINESS. And we seem to be proud of it (this will be displayed shortly by the grunts and barks in reply to this post...).

Yeah, this was . So what.
