GMP Performance - 135I Build Thread
Hey everyone,
We picked up a 2009 135I in Apline White over black as a shop car. We will use this thread to document the work done on it as it progresses. Please feel free to ask us any questions. Some quick before pictures: Updated Pictures: Last edited by GMP Performance; 05-01-2013 at 04:47 PM.. |

First, of course, the suspension needed some help.
We have worked with our friends at H&R to come up with the best solution for our needs with the suspension on the car. We all know that the 135I factory suspension is comfortable.. but the handling does not have the feel that BMW drivers are used to. We choose the H&R Premium Performance Coil Overs and are very satisfied with the results. |

Great to see a new 135i shop car. I thought that we were done with these now that the 1er isn't a novelty anymore, but I'm excited to see where you guys go with this. If there are any cool creative mods, I'd be all up for copying it and buying the parts from you.

Thanks for the comments. We are excited to see where it goes to!
MS135I, we love to hear that people remember our old VW's! We've been at it since the 70's and still have a few of them around. Car is up on the lift today, making some new friends: |

A little lower and a little wider stance:
1.5" down in the front, and about 1.25" in the rear. Currently with 5MM spacer up front and 10MM Spacer in the Rear. We originally installed 10MM Front and 15MM Rear Spacers on the car, but with the lowered ride hight we had quite a bit of rubbing in the rear and minimal rubbing in the front. We will likely roll the fenders to accommodate for this soon. Before/After of the Rear: |

Awesome build! To get the most out of the handling of this car, a LSD is CRUCIAL! I can't begin to explain how much better the car handles, a LOT less plow, and a lot more oversteer
