Slight Tranny Slip ?

Hey guys need your help on something. My 08 AT 135i ( 48k ) decided after about 15 minutes of driving that I should roll backwards for a slight second before engaging "Drive" after reversing. I'm wondering, I had a filter replaced due to a slight leak, but didn't have the fluid changed yet. I'm wondering because I was told I have another 10k or so not to worry about it, could I need the fluid change now ? I've never experienced this slight delay in engaging the gear, and I'll update the post if it happens again tomorrow. Let me know, thanks a lot !

Were you backing down a hill?

There is always a little bit of slip in a Torque Converter, its why your tach jumps one or two hundred rpm when you hit the gas. Apart from that sometimes the car takes a second to properly engage the gear.

We're doing our monthly karting meet on sunday in Farmingdale. If you want to come and compare trannys ill be more than happy to help out.

They didn't put enough fluid in, my guess.

Fluid was not changed, they used the same fluid. Just changed the filters. And no, I was not on an incline that would do that. I'll try again tomorrow.

If they changed the filter and not add any additional fluid then it's low. You can replace a filter without losing oil.

No, I'm not worried about it being low, that shouldn't be the problem. I would've been informed about that. Side note : It doesn't have a problem engaging reverse, it was only drive.
