UPDATED w/ PICS - Newly Purchased Wheels & Tires, also Suspension ?'s
** UPDATED WITH PICS ON THE CAR - 09.09.2014 **
Hey All, I'm new to the forums so wanted to thank anyone responding and reading my first post on here. Glad to finally say i am a proud owner of a 2011 White on Red 6-speed N55 135i, I've been looking this car for quite some time now. I just purchased the below wheels for my N55- SPECS Front: 18x8 standard spoke 42mm offset tires = 215/40/18 Rear: 18x9.5 Concaved Spoke 45mm offset tires = 245/35/18 Should i worry about any rubbing with stock suspension setup? Tirerack advised i wouldn't have issues but i don't see trusting the associates on the phone very much as there most likely reading the same info as me online. Also to note i'm looking to lower the car roughly 1.2-1.5 inches with a set of nice coil-overs, any suggestions? Better yet do you think i can/will be able to lower the car with the setup I purchased above? I get wholesale prices from Tirerack so i was going to use on of their suspension setups they offer since they guarantee fitment and a trust worthy company for backing their products. After reading so many post on here: im sure someone will ask me why i wanted these wheels and not something else or why i do this and not that. Im not asking for a debate on what I like compared to what others like for their cars, just looking for a straight forward answer from someone with knowledge in the wheels & Tire department. A 128i in that pale aqua blue & Performance BMW front bumper has used these wheels but do not remember if he had to roll then. He was lowered.
What's saving you is the tire choice and stock height

My experience with tire rack is they are conservative with their fitment. When I had my e90 there were wheels that would work that they didn't recommend. You will be fine I wouldn't worry about it.

You shouldn't have any issues running this setup. It's very similar to our recommended 8.5 ET45 | 9.5 ET45 with same size tires.
Enjoy your new setup and be sure to share pics!

Thank you for the heads up, another good thing to hear. have you noticed any rubbing when lowering the car, or do you recommend a particular suspension setup when using this wheel setup? |

Your suspension setup is entirely up to you! Springs are inexpensive, though, have a fixed ride height and won't be as stiff as coilovers. Reduced stiffness = more suspension travel/body roll which MAY equate to rubbing. That being said, most spring setups don't go low enough to even be within that realm. Coilovers allow you the adjustability to go a bit lower. The stiffer dampening can also reduce the suspension travel that could cause rubbing when going lower. All things considered, they both have their pros and cons. Less suspension travel also means a stiffer, harsher ride.
